In her first poetry book, Zaakiyah has written poems about the topics that came to her mind while she wandered, slept and dreamt. While some of the poems are intensely personal, others are about society.
‘Living Past the Expiry Date’ is one of the most personal poems in this book, while ‘Objects ’ is a poem she has written putting herself into the shoes of the certain women.
‘Grace,' the main poem is about attractions that we can’t avoid but are painful.
