Chronicles of Grief, Love, and Longing

After the death of my beloved husband of forty-five years in April 2025 and my oldest son in August 2025, I began sharing insights on grief, love, and longing through Substack. My grief counselor told me I needed to learn to navigate my boat afloat on a sea of love, grief, and longing—to ride the ripples, the waves, and the tsunamis that I would encounter, without paddling too fast or being afraid to hold the oars still, yet not abandon ship. Using that visualization, I began to write once again after years of caregiving. These poems are all new from my Grief, Love, & Longing notebooks.
